Emrys works for Brooke Smith Planning on a consultancy basis. Emrys has a demonstrable track record, with experience of planning and management.

As Chief Planning Officer at Birmingham City Council, the largest local planning authority in the country, he gained the professional respect of his piers and his staff. He was the Council’s principal adviser on all planning matters, and was responsible for the management and organisation of its statutory planning and building control functions. He has extensive and detailed knowledge of town planning and local government.
