Land at Saffron Lane, Leicester – CLOSED
Thank you for taking the time to review the plans for the proposed residential development on land at Saffron Lane, Leicester.
Arcadis, along with A + G Architects have been appointed by Leicester City Council to pursue the preparation of a detailed planning application for the development of 42 residential units.
The site is identified for residential development as part of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (2017) and is subject to an expired outline planning permission from March 2013. The proposals would form ‘Phase 2’ of a programme of works at this location, following, ‘Phase 1’, now in situ as Hawkins Road.
A Community Engagement event was held in the Club Room of Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium on Thursday 26th September. The aim of a public consultation exercise is to help evolve the potential form of the application proposals. We are therefore asking people who live and work in the area for their thoughts and feedback on the development of the site.

Responses should be returned by 17th October 2019.
Following this consultation exercise, the final form and content of a planning application will be produced. Once a planning application has been submitted for consideration, the Council, as Local Planning Authority, will undertake further consultation with statutory, non-statutory parties and local residents.
