King Edward IV College
Full planning consent for Phase I and outline planning consent for Phases II and III of the redevelopment of King Edward IV College, Stourbridge.
The overall masterplan sought to improve the quality of accommodation to provide outstanding facilities for the students of the College, following an Ofsted report in which described the existing facilities as ‘cramped’.
The first phase of development proposes the replacement of the current refectory building with a modern 3 storey brick building which will be used by the Music, Earth Science and Psychology departments. Whilst the second and third phases of development involves the erection of new academic accommodation, car parking, internal courtyard and a new pedestrian/cycle access.
The proposed development would deliver a programme of works to improve educational facilities to students as well as improving the quality of the built development within the campus.
